El 10 de junio de 1829, con la firma del gobernador de Buenos Aires, Mart\u00edn Rodr\u00edguez, se crea la Comandancia Pol\u00edtica y Militar de las Islas Malvinas y las adyacentes al Cabo de Hornos, se designa en el cargo a Luis Vernet y se le encomienda \u201c\u2026hacer observar por la poblaci\u00f3n de dichas Islas las leyes de la Rep\u00fablica y cuidar en sus costas la ejecuci\u00f3n de reglamentos sobre pesca de anfibios\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de 194 a\u00f1os de la creaci\u00f3n de la Comandancia Pol\u00edtica y Militar de Malvinas, los derechos de soberan\u00eda de la Argentina sobre las Islas siguen teniendo la misma legitimidad, la misma fuerza y el mismo consenso entre las naciones de Am\u00e9rica Latina y del mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HCD &#8211; Gral.
